The modern People's Republic of Egypt was established in 1953. British troops completely left Egypt in 1956. After the defeat of the Tripartite invasion by Israel, Britain and France at the Suez Canal known as the Suez Crisis. Since then, Egypt has been fully independent. Internal presidential ruler Jamal Abdoon Nasser brought about many changes in Egypt from 1956–1970 and formed the short-lived United Arab Republic with Syria. He also played an influential role in the founding of the Palestine Liberation Front (PLO) in 1964. Nasser also played a major role in the organization of the Non-Aligned Movement or NAM.


There are a variety of monuments, pyramids, the famous Nile River, statues of the Sphinx and the abode of ancient pharaohs. There are many things to see in Egypt for tourists. Egypt can be a unique travel destination for you for culture, adventure and rich experiences.
